Many little girls dream of owning a pony. The nature of that work is that the money could easily make some dreams come true. Pacifica’s father bought her dream. He put her on the pony, which bucked her off. She fell, hurt, but not seriously. Her father was terrified. He asked if there was anything he could do. She looked at the horse. “Kill it.”
He did.
